“A Day at the Track”
The memory I have chosen to write about is about the first trip I took with my uncle Steve. On July 26 of 2007 I traveled to my aunt Em’s house so we could go to a motocross race in Wasougal Washington. We had been planning this trip for a couple of months. It was the first time I had ever been to a motocross race. I had spent the night at my aunt’s house the and at five in the morning we all got up. My uncle and I went to get my cousin Aaron and his girlfriend (her name escapes me) and then we were off to see the races. By the time we got there it was seven and it was already packed. After we got parked we had a mile trek to the outdoor arena. Once we received our tickets and were in the park, we had to yell at each other to be able to hear what we were saying. It wasn’t raining that day but it had the night before so the track was very wet and unfortunately I had to eat a lot of mud that day.
After a couple of rounds were over I decided to buy myself a souvenir, that is where I got this hat. The race wasn’t boring by any means but it was uneventful so we decided to leave half-way through the last race. We had all been standing around for four hours. When we left my cousin Aaron and his girlfriend were drunk, they had been drinking all afternoon. To be funny his girlfriend shut the sliding glass window (in the back of my uncle’s pickup) on my cousin’s face, making him very angry. He started yelling at her, which startled me because I have never seen him this mad before. My uncle calmed him down enough to be able to get out of the parking lot. As we were driving home they were having a screaming match in the back seat. We arrived within a few blocks of Aaron’s apartment and he decided to walk the rest of the way back to his house. This was good because I was developing a headache. We dropped his girlfriend off at her house, made sure Aaron was all right and then we went home. I wrote this memory down not because of the race, or the fight, but because it was the first time I had spent quality time with my uncle, and I saw my cousin in a new light.
I think texting isn’t a problem until it starts effecting class work. I hve never sent or reseived a text message. since I don’t text it does not effect my writing.
A have a new understanding the importandce of life. “Some take refuge in catatonic silence.” Edglar Vess says to the main character about his other victim. ” Intensity” by Dean Koontz.
A blog is a post of something somebody has written.I have heard ofblogs from you.I am not comfortable with computers, but hopfully I will be after this class. I usually use computers for playing video games. I only write when I am told to. I would rather write something that I have made up in my head. Because there are a lot of freaks preying on children. The internetis only dangerous if you alow it to be. Chat with friends. I am kind of appreahensive about typing so much.
The book I am reading is called “Intensity” by ean Koontz. I choose this book because it was recommended to me by my Mother. It is about a woman who is trying to save a girl from a pyscho.
